A Collective Collection
There is something altruistic about the sharing of videos over the net . Music and memory go together and bringing up a video of a musical event or film taken in an particular era really can be poignant and stir the mind and emotions like a theoretical time machine . This constant learning experience while surfing the Internet will hopefully help all of us that dive in and excite and inadvertantly stimulate our brains this way. While I am not aware of a study involving watching this little box , it seems like an inevitable experiment in this time when we are more aware of the synapse ,both their excitation and degeneration . Another facet of the "Youtube" generation is the fact that we can realize that as individuals we are not alone in the human experience or the recognition of a communal joy at the talent of others even though we most likely may come to our appreciation and discoveries alone . A universal collection is what we have brought about , a collection that is beyond the public library or even the conception of what the public library might have been . If there is a collective consciousness this medium is it's mirror .
